The engineered design of the Submar construction mat allows for self-silting and proper separation between the pipelines while increasing stability. The
construction mat is easily installed using one of Submar’s patented single, dual or triple mechanical handling
frames especially designed for shallow to deep-water mattress deployment.
The manufacturing of a Submar Mat is done in a controlled environment, which allows for year-round production. This mat is durable and can withstand sunlight, extreme temperatures, saltwater and have indefinite life underwater. The mat, being flexible on two planes, will conform to any structure or terrain. Patented Non-Shielding / Non-Abrasive
Padding
Submar’s
porous pads will not effect or shield off a Cathotic
Protection System. These pads were developed especially
to protect thin-filmed, epoxy coated pipelines from
coming in contact with Submar’s concrete mats. The
pads are 7.5" x 7.5" square and are made of
heavy duty, 3/8" P.V.C. Click
here for additional information.
Shipping
Submar mats are transportable by truck and barge. Submar's
headquarters, located on the Intracoastal Waterway
in Houma, Louisiana, has 300 feet of steel bulkhead docking
space with 14 foot draft.
Installation
The construction mat is easily installed by a diver handling frame or Submar's patented mechanical
handling frame especialy designed for deep-water mat deployment.
