Director of Engineering
Michael became Submar’s civil and environmental engineer and land surveyor in January 2017, offering over 30 years of experience in project management and design. He has been involved in every phase of the projects conducted under his supervision and direction, including feasibility studies, engineering design, project permitting, construction management, and administration.
Michael provides technical oversight, coordination, and project management in order that his projects are constructed within the project schedule and within budget. He has worked on projects with professionals from such governmental agencies as the Louisiana Department of Transportation & Development, Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, Louisiana Department of Natural Resources, U.S. Department of Environmental Quality, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and numerous municipalities, parish governments, levee boards, and water districts within Louisiana.
Michael graduated from Louisiana State University with bachelor’s degrees in civil engineering and petroleum engineering. He is a licensed professional engineer in Louisiana, Texas, and Georgia and a licensed land surveyor in Louisiana.
