Based in Houma, Louisiana, Submar started over 30 years ago as a company that provided articulated concrete mats to the offshore oil and gas market for use in the Gulf of Mexico. Since then, we’ve evolved into the industry standard for offshore and onshore pipeline exposure remediation.
Submar has completed projects across the country for most of the major pipeline companies and has provided hundreds of onshore solutions for commercial, civil, and governmental entities, including the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Our ability to create new products and customized solutions for a variety of markets allows us to serve multiple sectors.

We provide comprehensive, turnkey project management services—from initial site studies to regulatory compliance and post-construction monitoring. As the Director of Operations for Submar, LLC., John leads the company’s performance and strategy in the erosion control and remediation sector, with over 29 years of experience in manufacturing, sales management, and business development.

Joseph Fournet, P.E.
As Executive Vice President, Joseph provides technical and sales oversight by leading our Regional Sales and our Design teams to engage our customers, identify erosional challenges, conduct site assessments and surveys, develop long-term solutions for our clients, and submit project proposals.
