Who We Are
Submar began over 30 years ago in Houma, Louisiana, as a company that provided articulating concrete mats to the offshore oil and gas market for use in the Gulf of Mexico. Since then, we have evolved to become the industry standard in offshore and onshore pipeline protection. After entering into the onshore erosion control market in 1997, we have completed projects in 43
states for 90 percent of the major pipeline companies and have provided hundreds of onshore solutions for commercial, civil, and governmental entities, including the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Our ability to create new products and customized solutions for a variety of markets allows us to serve
multiple sectors. Our commitment to safety and the environment through environmentally-conscious designs makes us the right company for your erosion control needs. Unlike similar companies, our solutions include comprehensive, turnkey project management services—from initial site studies to regulatory compliance and post-construction monitoring. Our extensive experience and the broad application of our product suite is the secret to our unique ability to identify erosion problems and design, construct, and monitor custom erosion control solutions.
